Sometimes you wonder what this government is all about. For example, the King won't turn 80 until December, 2007, but the Pm and cabinet has already started to celebrate:
"Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont Saturday led his Cabinet members to give alms to Buddhist monks at Sanam Luang to make merit for His Majesty the King.
The special alms giving ceremony at 6:30 am at Sanam Luang was held on the occasion that His Majesty will turn 80 years old this year. A lot of people also attended the ceremony.
After the alms giving, Surayud, his Cabinet members, their spouses, government officials and the people also held a ceremony at 8:29 am to wish His Majesty well on the occasion of His 80-year-old birthday."
