I have subscribed to Loxinfo ADSL in Pattaya for over a year now and pay about 1000 Baht per month for 24/7 access. The service is certainly faster than dial up, but nowhere near as fast as my old cable service back in the States. The yellow light on my ADSL modem, which is supposed to be a constant yellow, is almost always blinking rapidly.
I recently found an internet site where there's a lot of nice music in MP3 format available for free download.
I noticed that when I download music, however, the meter on the download speed never gets higher that 26 KB and usually averages no more than 10-12 KB. But the Bitrate from the source is usually listed as 128 to 192KB.
I'd be interested to know from anyone knowledgeable with ADSL if the download speed I am getting on this music is considered "normal' for ADSL speed ?
