You have gotta be kidding. The River of Kings is neither bright, clean or clear, no matter what delusions or medications you may be taking, since it accomodates daily an estimated 70-80% of the untreated sewage of Bangkok and untold pollution from upstream communities. The idea suggested in the article, that the river is being cleaned up in time for the King's 80th birthday in December, is pure fantasy.

It's bad enough that we have to maneuver around all the propaganda that the Thai authorities constantly dump into the TV broadcasts. Now we have some of the gay expat community feeding the same nonsense into the opening article of the PG Weekly Report.

Perhaps the PG editors didn't notice who originated this article:

Shame on you for printing such drivel. It's anything but a "job well done." What it's doing as the lead article in the PG Weekly report is mystifying.

I agree 100%. I assumed that PG Weekly was supposed to promote information on gay functions in Thailand, not republish Tourist Bureau rubbish.

As usual, the people who do this PG promotion work seem incapable of responding to criticism, and that includes TJ, who always seems to think that everything is such a great job.

The PG Report has become one big advertising blurb with very little other information and reporting of events of interest to the gay community.

I now open it and quickly scroll down the list to see if there is anything of significance to read and then leave - that usually takes me about 30 seconds ! The site might be a lot flashier than when Gay Pattayan ran it but appearance isn't everythig.

I much prefer the Pattaya Gay Affairs web site:- http://www.gayaffairspattaya.com/index.shtml

Some people would bitch if you hung them with a new rope.

Hey, if you don't like it, don't go there, simple as that. Last I looked, it's free and a few guys are spending a lot of time in an effort to provide some information helpful to visitors and expats in residence. I've found some helpful and interesting information and articles there occasionally and, while I don't particular care about the repeated ads for some places, I'm hardly going to bitch about it. Geez.

I agree with Bob, it's there to look or not. I also think that running a TAT propaganda piece as the lead article was dumber than dumb.
