"Thai police have arrested a factory worker on charges of masterminding a faux-kidnapping of the girl he loved in a blighted attempt to become her hero, media reports said Tuesday. Police said Rachai Hattalay, a 24-year-old factory worker, had arranged for two friends to kidnap Yanathip Plongathop on November 9 in Nakorn Ratchasima province, reported the Khao Sod newspaper.
Yanathip was kidnapped by two men hired by Rachai after leaving her place of work on the back of a motorcycle owned by another accomplice.
Rachai pretended to pay the kidnappers a 100,000 baht (2,940 dollars) ransom for Yanathip's freedom, but his heroism started to unravel after the girl reported the incident to police.
After an investigation, police uncovered that Rachai had masterminded the kidnapping himself in an attempt to win the heart of Yanathip.
"I have been in love with her for the past two years but she rejected me," Rachai told a press conference. "I devised the plan to make myself look like a hero to show her I really loved her and would be there if she was ever in trouble." Police have charged Rachai with kidnapping and detaining Yanathip against her will. "

I know how the poor guy is feeling!!
Had a similar experience many moons ago with a quite gorgeous stud who worked as a barman in a gay bar in London. Dreamt up all sorts of ruses to grab his attention but, sadly, to no avail and my love for him remains, even now, unrequited. Boo Hoo
