I understand from friends in Pattaya that they are once again tearing up the sidewalks along Beach Road to install another sidewalk scheme. The last time I was there they had put in all kinds of plants, which lookm very nice and fresh, bu which have now apparently been torn out to make way for the latest sidewalk.
You have to start wondering just what goes on at city hall ?

The Americans call it "pork barrel" government, but they have the sense to build new roads with it, not keep tearing up the old ones !

They're getting better at this. I noticed they started the latest new changes at the north end of Beach Road before they finished the old changes at the south end. That takes coordination.
