i spend 6 months a year in pattaya and was sure germans were the majority....hardly see americans and G.. knows they usually make their presence known...........

No doubt, the Germans would flood this board too if it was not English-language.
Statistically, I think you will find, however, that the Americans, Brits and Dutch have a big chunk of the farang tourist market in general, rather than the gay Thailand bunch here.
I once listed Ireland as an English-speaking nation and was given a firm lecture about Gaelic being its mother tongue.

Quite right too. The question ask here however was what 'country' are you from? To which I couldn't give the answer 'Ireland' or 'Eire' in any language as it wasn't an option.
Anyway I'll let you get on with your German bashing.

I'm amazed that almost 75% of members are either expats or frequent visitors.
I wonder how that compares to readers, who don't register as members and where I would expect there to be far fewer expats. It's a shame that non-members can't vote in such a poll.
