I will be turning 65 next year and have a pension from my former employer that includes medical care, but only in the USA. They will not pay for overseas treatments, nor will Medicare.
I'm interested in obtaining a policy that will insure me against catastrophic illness, not ordinary medical care that I can afford to pay myself. I wouldn't mind a big deductible of $ 10,000 if I was covered for anything beyond that here in Thailand. I am overweight but otherwise in good health now, and a medical exam is no problem.
Does anyone know of such coverage only against catastrophic illness ? Thanks for any help.
