"Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej flew to Laos on Friday morning and avoided giving weekly interviews with the media after the return of ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra. His trip to the neighbouring country came one day after Mr Thaksin ended his 17-month self-imposed exile.
According to Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama, Mr Samak will return from Laos on March 1, and will visit Cambodia from March 3 to 4. He said that Mr Samak will engage in economic and social talks with Laos officials, adding that a few Thai companies including Italian-Thai Developmant and CP have invested largely in Laos."
