"The fight to become Mayor of Pattaya is intensifying and at 3am Khun Itipon, who is candidate number 2 on the ballot paper took his campaign to Walking Street, South Pattaya. Using a mobile stage he presented his policies to workers from the street who were just finishing work.

We initially thought the timing of the event was rather unusual, however Khun Itipon explained that many residents of Pattaya work in the entertainment industry and this was a good time to present himself and his team to them as during the day they normally sleep.

The election for Mayor takes place on 4th May and it is now expected that Bars will not be permitted to sell alcoholic beverages on the night of 3rd May until Midnight on 4th May."
