I have been using 1-2- call for years now with no problems. In the past week, however, I have been deluged with SMS messages in Thai from someone or something that goes by the name "T-Dara." My Thai friends tell me that it's some kind of promotion but they are hard pressed to explain just what is being promoted.
What I dread is the thought that SPAM has somehow hit the SMS phone market ! If that's true, I am afraid my phone is going to start beeping with SPAM deliveries at all hours of the day and night, with no way to stop it.
Anyone having a similar problem ?

If the spam is from 12 call itself, you can call them and tell them that you do not like to be disturbed by their messages.
It works.
It works.

I have been having the same problem for the past few days. I get at least 6 SMS messages in Thai and I have not been able to figure out if they are some kind of solicitation coming from 1-2 Call or just some spammer. What I don't understand is how any spammer could afford to be using the system this way.

You can add me to the list of unwelcome recipients of 8-10 SMS messages in Thai every day now. But neither of my close Thai friends seem to have this problem with their mobile phones. I think it's outrageouos if this is the phone company sending unsolicited spam. Does anyone know the number you call to ask them to stop this "service" ?

Dial 1175 and press 2 for the English language option.

I am happy to say that a call to the company works. I called five days ago and I have not had any spam SMS for the past two days ! Thanks for the advice.
