"Two Rottweilers purchased by a Dutch man to protect his house in north-east Thailand mauled his 2-year-old daughter to death Thursday, police said.
The dogs attacked and bit Romklao Ploo, nicknamed Nina, in Nakorn Ratchasima city, 200 kilometres north-east of Bangkok, local news website reported.
Jintana Ploo, 42, the girl's mother, told police she had placed Nina on the ground to unlock her front door when the two dogs dashed out and attacked her daughter. Jintana also sustained bites to her legs when she tried to save the child. She said her Dutch husband, whose name was not given, had bought the dogs to protect their house after it had been burglarized several times."

It's an awful drama for the mother and for the poor child. As for the father, I cannot help thinking "Som nam na" : these kinds of dogs should all be wiped out of the earth's surface, and the sooner the better.

No one with small children in the house should ever buy a dog, no matter what breed, whoich is bred to have a temperment to serve as a deterrent to burglars. It's like leaving a loaded revolver on the kitchen table for the kids to play with.

Isaan wives of old farang are already buying rottweilers to "take care" of their husbands. It's the best thing to have emerged since the Pattaya balcony. Hehehe
