If you multiply this photo by several hundred, you'll get some idea of what Pattaya looks like since the real estate developers and agents all over town decided to trash every free space they can find along the roads with their make-shift bill boards. You have to ask yourself what on earth the new mayor and his cabinet are doing to allow this blight to happen everywhere in the city. Before Pattaya's bureaucrats spend another Baht on ads trying to get tourists to want to come back here, they might think about getting off their rumps and stop this kind of ugly pollution that greets you everywhere you go nowadays.

WELCOME TO SUNNY, FUNNY, and UGLY PATTAYA.

These signs are also so poorly constructed that it doesn't take much wind for them to blow down into the middle of the road, which happens frequently. Perhaps the city should erect even bigger signs which announce: "BEWARE OF FALLEN BILLBOARDS".

A real eye-sore..
No Pattaya isn't a modern Beach resort.
But I am sure the Mayor will act soon. Its getting worse by the day. You must be blind if you don't see those garbage commercials all along the road.

I started noticing the proliferation of this trash in the past two weeks. It's much worse than the political posters that seem to sprout everywhere at election time. It seems to be totally out of control, including a 3 story monstrosity of a steel bill board they have erected this past week at the corner of Theprassit and Thapraya.I cannot imagine how any city which claims to be a major beach attraction has allowed this uglification. I wonder who paid whom to get away with it.

I am sure the grand condotel will be very pleased with it.
