Gloria and the Wolf

As a veteran of many posting wars, I have seen this Gloria thing grow into epic proportions, which for reasons which defy reason, people still talk about it in hushed tones as if some state secrets were involved.
One poster in particular seems to think that evoking the words Gloria and Dreaded Ned will somehow scare everyone into hiding from the big bad wolf.
Does anyone know the definitive story of just what happened with Gloria and the Wolf , without naming actual names ?

This is going back a number of years, so I may have some of this wrong, but the way I remember it is that "Gloria" was posting quite a number of attack posts directed at a gay business in Pattaya on a web site that was permitting it. The business finally had enough of it and took steps to track down "Gloria." I never knew just how "Gloria" was tracked down, but the way I recall it is that he was caught red-handed at a computer terminal in the middle of writing yet another attack post. Again, the way I recall it, "Gloria" turned out to be an owner of a rather well known gay business in Bangkok. An apology was accepted by the Pattaya business, along with a promise not to ever post any such messages again. No lawsuit was filed.
As I said, it's been a long time and I may be wrong in some aspects of how I remember it, but if I am wrong, I'm sure someone will post corrections.

Ear Wig:
"...you will find happened with Gloria on dredded ned and a few well respected People in Pattaya a few years ago, who was sued to have to pay a substantial damages I will not give away here."
Gaybutton:
"An apology was accepted by the Pattaya business, along with a promise not to ever post any such messages again. No lawsuit was filed. "

I find the part about someone using someone else's name especially confusing. Does Ear Wig claim to have been personally involved, while GB has only heard the story second-hand ?
What puzzles me most is that Ear Wig seems to relish reporting the gory inside details and gossip on everything, but on this matter he's as tight as a clam. Why ?

I don't know about anyone else, but I am curious as to why Ear Wig and GB have such differing impressions of what really happened in that Gloria episode on the old Dreaded Ned board.

My version of the story came directly from the owner of the business that was being victimized. But, as I said, I may be remembering some it it wrong. If there was a lawsuit involved, then as far as I know it did not come from the business that was involved.
Ah yes. I remember it well . . . .

That's funny.... coming from the guy who can't resist blabbing about it every time he decides it's time to threaten someone.
Hehehe....

If this was a poker game, you might say that old ear Wig just folded.
My understanding is exactly the same as Gaybutton's. There was no law suit and no money exchanged. No posters were defamed.
It was one guy who kept posting malicious stuff about a business which was specifically named and who was traced to an internet shop.
It had absolutely nothing to do with anonymous posters trading insults in a board catfight and threatening to sue.

The story I heard was a few years ago was similar to whats been posted but that a deal was done with the poster over a drink in Bangkok at the Balcony by the agrieved party just to keep the peace. Dont know if was a Gloria though. Maybe its a totally seperate incident.

Ho Boy! This, added to the closed lawsuit thread is funnier than The Katzenjammer Kids!
Hans and Fritz, Mama, The Captain, Der Inspector; the Gang's All Here. Can you guess who's who?

According to some posters-everyone is just oneposter anyway. Maybe there is just one very sick scitzophrenic in Pattaya. Maybe everyone is Gloria !

"The Katzenjammer Kids!"..A bit before my time--where they fun ?
That's what they all say, "Before my time." What time is your time? Uranus annus time?
Where they fun? All over! The Katzies are still around, have been going almost 110 years. You might enjoy this link: (scroll down to see the naughty boys getting spanked!)

Which reminds me; Sir Edward Ford, who provided Queen Elizabeth II with the memorable phrase "annus horribilis" to describe her 'troubles' in 1992, passed away, 19 November, in London.
'How is this pertinent to Gloria and everyone being Gloria?' you might ask. Glorianus Horribilis Has a fitting 'ring' to it, doesn't it?
