Two tourists die in Phuket after stomach cramps

Jill Sheree St Onge, 27, from Seattle, and Julie Michelle Bergheim, 22, died within hours of one another and both reportedly suffered severe stomach pains prior to dying.
The women stayed in adjacent rooms in the Laleena Guest House, which has been closed while their deaths are investigated and autopsies conducted. St Onge's fiance, American Russell Kells has been quoted as saying he was struck by a chemical smell when he entered the room on Saturday. However, there has since been speculation that the women may have eaten cassava that was not properly cooked.
Police say they have yet to get results of autopsies."

...or eaten at one of Gaybutton's "not to be missed" restaurants.

We don't think so, dear. These poor girls ate, not gorged, as Gaybutton and his fatty gang are accustomed to doing.
IN ANY CASE the MOST LIKELY candidate for the cause of this cloak and dagger situation is the tuber-like roots of CASSAVA (aka MANIOC and/or aka YUCA) which must be cooked and NEVER EATED RAW because it contains a rather poisonous compound.
Thus, methinks that is the root of this mystery.
BTW CASSAVA WHEN COMMERCIALLY PROCESSED BY COOKING BECOMES THE WELL KNOWN PRODUCT BEST KNOWN AS TAPIOCA
WHICH IS THUS SAFE TO EAT (Many SAFE AND DELICIOUS desserts and puddings are made with tapioca)

Every time I went to a "restaurant find " from G.B. I was unhappy.
Most of the time not only unhappy about the food but also about the service.
I think G.B. hast no taste at all. Would you like to find out for yourself ?
I don't !!

Every time? That's rather unbelievable.
As to taste, slamming GB verus acting offering honest comments about a given restaurant would seem to be the adult way to respond.
While I don't frequent Pattaya, it would seem there would be some value in hearing other peoples' (including GB's) comments about given restaurants. Perhaps you can take the time to offer your comments about given establishments?

So you agree with your good friend Smiles then that insulting Gaybutton by practically calling him a pig or 'some other barnyard animal' as Smiles did on the Gaythailand thread was the adult way to respond.
Why am I not surprised.

Speaking of Sawatdee Forum, have you noticed that there's been a dramatic drop in the number of daily postings since the old Colonel bit the dust. Everyone knew he was a serial poster but you got to wonder how many names the old boy was using at one time to create chatter. The Colonel died and 16 posters disappeared from the board !!!!!
As for the thread topic, the two tourists who died at the same guest house, I was amused but not surprised when the owner of the place tried to blame the deaths on these two women drinking too much alcohol the night before. Only in Thailand !

As I mentioned on another board to your fairly identical comment, your little pea brain shouldn't jump to imaginary conclusions (since I have not said one thing about agreeing with anybody's juvenile comments - including yours). Feign your imaginary surprise elsewhere.

Who is "anybody" here? Can't you bring yourself to say it? Who called GB a barnyard animal on Gaythailand? It was SMILES.
Take your prescription of adult-becoming behavior, Mr Ambulance Chaser, to your good friend Smiles and if there's any leftover, swallow it yourself. I may have a pea brain but at least I'm not a hypocrite like you.

Maybe I'm totally missing your point (if you have one). I recently got back from a 3-month stay in Thailand and, having better things to do, I didn't read many of the boards all that often. I never read all the posts on any of the boards and only occasionally responded on a few posts that I happened to read. So I have no clue as to what you mean by saying "can't you bring yourself to say it?" (what is it your asking me to comment upon?). And, no, I have no interest in actually going to a board to check out (and then comment upon) something somebody else said during the last several months.
What I didn't appreciate from your comments was that somehow you presumed I agreed with something when I in fact never made any comment about it one way or the other. For your benefit - although I hardly owe any explanation to you - I actually admire GB and would never support anybody tossing juvenile names his way, regardless of who might have said whatever. And, as to who my friends are or aren't, how the hell would you know? You don't know me and I'm quite sure that will remain the case.

"Anybody"? Hahaha, you still can't say his name can you? Our point is: don't lecture others about churlish behavior when you conveniently turn the other cheek when your friend Smiles is doing it. Hua Hin is a small town and we know how thick the two of you are.
Anyway, nice piece of circuitous reasoning there. You almost sounded like a real lawyer for a second.

Ok, WH, time to put your money where your mouth is. First, who is the "we" you are referring to? Second, how do you know anything about my relationships with any acquaintenances I may have?
I suspect the "we" is you and you, sir, don't know shit.

I find it strange that Bob seems to want to avoid having to admit to any relationship with Smiles now.
I'm not avoiding anything. Smiles is a good friend of mine and I have no reluctance to admit that. On the other hand, I don't answer for what friends of mine might say on another board and the WH poster had no right to suggest (without any basis in fact) that I somehow must have agreed with something Smiles apparently said on another board. I don't remember seeing that other post but, as I said, I didn't read a lot of the posts on many of the boards from January through April (my internet connection in the condo I rented was terribly slow and I rarely had the patience to wade through all the posts).
I've met GB before, he and his prior board provided a lot of information and assistance to me, and I've admired GB for years because of that (and I've made that clear for many years). And, no, I do not cotton to anyone personally attacking GB regardless of who does it (and, frankly, I've made that fairly clear over the years too).

Has anyone seen any news on the results of the autopsies as to what killed these two women tourists ? I have been unable to find anything, although it's been 11 days since the deaths.
Here's a link to a Thai Visa thread (16 pages long) that seems to cover what everyone seems to know or surmise. The bottom-line is that, so far, nobody knows anything for sure (although, given both the dead girl and her fiance both were sick and given that two unrelated girls in an adjacent room also were very sick with one of them also dying surely proves, at least in my eyes, that something was inhaled or ingested by
the guests of both rooms).
