"Thailand’s coalition government of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has scored only 4.06 out of 10 after six months in office, according to a survey conducted last week by Bangkok University.
The survey conducted on 1,377 people aged above 18 in Bangkok found the popularity of the coalition government slipped significantly from the 5.42 points it received after one month in office. The coalition government of Mr. Abhisit has been in office since December 22.

Respondents said the Ministry of Transport is the "prime suspect" for corruption with 34.6 per cent followed by the Ministry of Finance, 24.2 per cent, and the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry, 7.7 per cent.

Over one-third -- 37.3 per cent -- of the respondents suggested that the government should focus on solving national economic problems and farm prices which have fallen sharply, 10.5 per cent wanted it to rid corruption and administer the country more transparently, and 9.6 per cent called for the government to work faster and decisively.

Nonetheless, nearly two-thirds -- 64.5 per cent -- believe that the coalition government would last more than a year, while the remainder believed it will not last out a year due to bickering among coalition parties along with few accomplishments and rampant corruption.
