"The Election Commission will today decide whether to disqualify 44 MPs accused of holding shares in companies related to the media and state concessions, secretary-general Suthipol Thaweechaikarn said on Tuesday. Suthipol said he believe the EC would be able to reach the decision today after taking quite a long time to work on the case because it involved a lot of people and companies.

Election Commission Sodsri Sattayatham said she believed the EC did not need to seek more time and should be able to make the decision today. She said the EC would not resort to double standards but would stick to the same principle it had been using in making decision on previous cases."
