There's an interesting article linked below which suggests that the Nation newspaper, which has been so pro-government and anti-Thaksin since the coup, is on the verge of financial collapse because of disastrous losing operations.
There were rumors of a possible takeover of the paper by an Australian publisher who runs papers in other parts of SE Asia, but that publisher, Ross Dunkley, says: "I wonder how long it will be before we see the [Nation] group collapsing like a deck of cards. It wouldn't take much."
