I have been having all sorts of problems over the past two weeks with my high speed internet service with TTT Maxnet. When I visited their offices at Carrefour today, to have my Router checked, I was told that the company is now called 3BB Broadband. It seems to be some kind of a corporate separation between TTT and its broadband service.
Anyway, when I got to the 3BB office, which is a booth outside the old TTT office next to Carrefour, the place was packed with people, mostly farangs, screaming about not having service for the past 1-2 weeks. After waiting for about 1 1/2 hours, the girls working there told me that my Router was bad. Since it's not much more than a year old, I was skeptical.
So, I took the router to a computer store up the street from Carrefour on Pattaya Klang and they said the thing was in good working condition. So, I went home and plugged it back in - and like magic my service was back online and fine. I'm still trying to figure out what happened, and hw long this is going to last. One thing is certain: I'm not sure how much longer I'll be using 3BB for service.
PS: I asked about their advertised 10MB service for 1400 baht, since I'm paying almost 1100 for 3 MB ( when it works). They said that the 10 MB service won;t be available in Pattaya for another two months.

And then perhaps not in your area until later. I tried signing up with Maxnet last June. I was told I could be put on a waiting list but it would be a few months because all the subscriptions in my area had been taken. I live in a rather affluent development on the dark side. I got on with BTV at comparable prices and have not had a problem.

My experience is that you never take your modem or router to your service company to test it because they can't seem to resist the temptation to blame problems in their system on your old hardware. they'd also like to sell you new hardware if they can. Did they offer to sell you new hardware ?
