"A 68-year-old German tourist jumped from the balcony of his room in a hotel here and was killed Thursday morning.
Police said Jurgen Rudihans, 68, was killed when jumped from the fifth floor of the Nusa Playa Hotel & Spa on the Jomthien Beach at 6:40 am.

Security officials of the hotel tried in vain to calm him down. He jumped some 10 minutes after security officials tried to get to him from another room's balcony.The man cried and lamented he would have to undergo a leg amputation next month."
