[attachmentid=620]"On 27 Oct, Prawase Praphanukul, lawyer for Daranee Charnchoengsilpakul (Da Torpedo) filed an appeal at the Criminal Court, which in late August had sentenced her to 18 years in jail for lèse majesté. A group of activists and red shirts accompanied him to show moral support for Daranee.

Activist Chainarin Kulab-am said that his group would follow the case closely. The group has campaigned for the donation of books and magazines to the library of the Central Women’s Prison, where Daranee has been detained. Political content is forbidden, according to the rules of the prison. Those who wish to donate can contact Bunthida at mosquito_kae@hotmail.com.
