"Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will not join the meeting of members of the House of Representatives scheduled for Thursday morning, despite the urging of the opposition whips, reports said.

The opposition whips on Wednesday called on government MPs and the prime minister to attend the House meeting and use the parliamentary mechanism to solve political problems. The opposition whips’ meeting took place after the meeting of members of the House of Representatives failed to convene on Wednesday morning due to lack of a quorum.

The premier and most government MPs did not show up for either the joint parliamentary sitting on Tuesday, which was postponed, or the House meeting on Wednesday.House Speaker Chai Chidchob reaffirmed on Thursday morning that he will not postpone today’s House meeting.“The meeting venue will not be changed as called for,” Mr Chai said.

Natthawut Saikua, a core leader of the pro-Thaksin United front for Democracy against Dictatorship, said on the main rally stage at Phan Fa bridge about 1pm on Thursday that the red-shirts’ intelligence unit is now stationed at the parliament. “If Mr Abhisit comes to attend the meeting, the red-shirts will go to meet him at the parliament,” Mr Natthawut said. He claimed that more red-shirts from the provinces will come to join the mass anti-government rally in Bangkok on Friday and Saturday. He believed the red-shirts would finally win this war."

What a country ! The prime minister, who denies he is a puppet, is hiding in an army base and won't come out to attend Parliament.

The Reds can't decide how to cope with a government that won't oblige them to become martyrs, so they spill their own blood from a gallon jug on the sidewalk ! It's a wonder they didn't urinate on everything too.

ONLY in THAILAND !
