For those farangs who think that driving a motorbike on Pattaya's streets is a quick and sometimes fun way to get around, take a look at the link below. A 41 year-old British national was driving his motorbike along Soi Khao Noi in Pattaya yesterday when a big Toyota Fortuner pulled into his lane to pass someone and slammed headlong into the motorbike, killing the Brit on the spot. There's some question whether a Thai lady was driving or whether a farang was behind the wheel but fled the scene before the police arrived. Either war, the motorbike didn't stand a chance.

I think I may have mentioned this before, although not on this board, I have personally known three farangs during my stay here in Thailand who have died in accidents riding motorbikes. Two were driving solo on their bike when hit by a truck and one was riding on the back of a motorbike being driven by someone else. The number of guys showing up at the beach with broken arms, facial cuts and bruises and other injuries caused by motorbikes accidents is much larger. I am mystified by old farangs who zoom around Pattaya on their motorbikes because they are a statistic waiting to happen.
