The mods on GT may be controlling, but not at all, trolling. There is a big difference.

As a veteran of many boards, I have seen this issue of trolls come and go like the tide, with more than one moderator thinking he could play King Canute and master them. I concluded long ago that trolls, however you define them, are as much an inevitable and necessary part of a successful internet posting board as rain is for growing rice. If we didn't have them, we'd have to invent them, because, like it or not, they are frequently the only color and comedy in a field of dull gray posters who have little to say - unless they're bitching about the trolls. There's nothing quite like a droll troll to enliven a dead thread.

Have you ever read their restaurant reviews ? Maybe in France THEY don't call that trolling but here at the Costa del Sollei we call it SUPER TROLLING.

You may be blissfully happy but they are not banned here. And since when does not liking somebody's restaurant reviews classify as anything relevant?

If you don't like that (or any other board), don't go there. That makes you happy and them equally happy.

One man's troll can be another man's treasure. I honestly don't see what the fuss is all about on the GayThailand board or this board, where the occasional post you might call close to trolling is hardly a problem. It's true that Sawatdee Forum seems to have been taken over recently by some very persistent trolls but that will pass just like it always has in the past.

Amen. Trolls can dominate a board only when there are not enough posters around making interesting posts. That's when the tail starts to wag the dog. If the posters on some of these boards would stop making a federal case out of the trolls, and concentrate on trying to post things that are interesting reading, we'd all enjoy the boards more. If there's one thing that's more boring than a troll, it's a poster who spends his time playing the role of Buffy the Troll Hunter.

Are you referring to the two famous mods who don't dare(?) to post on this forum anymore ? I think enough has been said about the childish behaviour of some posters from other boards who's hobby is to bann fellow posters and play dictator. I remember that L and N were banned from the Gay Thialand forum for no reason.f Its good to see that the Mods from the other forum are pestered away from this forum. Now I only wish that Bob would follow .I am a happy gay because they are gone, let them play Buffy the Troll hunters on their own forum.

Of course they don't. No other board would let them in or let them last very long. I truly enjoy reading their comments here. I'm not even sure it is a "they." It's just as likely to be one person trying to pass himself off as three.

Sorry to disappoint you fine gentlemen, but despite your babbling I haven't been banned here and if you think you're even remotely capable of driving me off, you couldn't be more wrong. I stopped posting here because I choose not to waste my time with morons, except to show up once in a while, like this, just to piss them off, which I know this post does. This post won't merely piss them off. Watch. It's going to send them into a full scale rage.

However I must say that I'm flattered by their obsession with me. That seems to be the focus of their lives . . . studying me and every word I write or have ever written. They know more about me than I do, or at least that's what they think, if thinking is even involved in their processes at all.

The only surprise for me is that Uncle Sam stays with this board. I don't know why. He's much too intelligent for this board, but I'm sure he has his reasons.

First of all, the only thing that Gaybutton ever wrote about Thai politics that wasn't a cut-and-paste from the Nation was his comment that he cared about Thai politics only becaue of what it would do to the exchange rate. Second, if you deleted all the posts by the moderators at GT, there wouldn't be anything left except one of those endless threads about how you can save 30 Baht by using an ATM machine across town.

I suggest to Khun Gaybutton that he have the sense and class to not abuse his hosts when he visits other boards and learn to button it when he loses his cool and goes running off at the keyboard insulting an entire board.
