Is anyone else having problems big time with TTT's internet service ?

I have been a subscriber to their ADSL internet service for about eight months now but the last two weeks have been a nightmare of very slow and interrupted service. Right now, I am using a dial-up service because the ADSL connection with TTT has been going on and off every five minutes since this morning.

Someone at the beach suggested that the internet in Thailand has been swamped because of the political situation. I'm interested to know if anyone else is having similar problems with TTT or any other server.

my internet service works quicker then ever. So it has nothing to do with the political situation.

My TOT and Sophan Internet services are fine.

If you happen to live in Jomtien, note that TTT (now 3BB) are doing a lot of wire work near the monkey god.

Try another server.

Sophan Internet's cable service is pretty good, but it's only available in limited areas. Fortunately that includes Jomtien Beach Road, where ADSL is limited to 2Mbps.

In some locations, the ambient temperature has been as high as 41 degrees C. In a closed environment that could be significantly higher. Modems tend to generate a lot of heat on their own.The standard upper operational limit for micrologic devices is 45 degrees C. This presumes devices that have not had extensive usage. Overheating can cause the symptoms you identified, although they can be generated by other causes; i.e. power fluctuations, viruses, and system load.

If it is indeed being overheated, turn the modem off until it cools down to room temperature then try it again.

Good luck.

I live on Theprassit close to the Thapraya and I have been having the same problems with my TTT service for at least a week. It keeps going on and off, sometimes every 2-3 minutes. It's doing that right now as I type this post. Then it will be fine for a few hours and then the same off-and-on starts all over again.

It's also been unbelievable slow when it is working. I'm paying for premier service but I haven't been able to watch any videos because the streaming is too slow.

At first I thought it might be my modem but I had it checked at a computer place and it's fine. I have called the TTT offices twice and all they say is that they will have a technician check it out. My email got no response.
