Yesterday 45.67 for one Euro
today 5 p.m. 46.87 for one Euro
this morning 1.a.m. 47.5 for one Euro.

I am afraid soon we will see 60 or more for one Euro again. Nobody believes in the Thai's and their economy etc etc.

No doubt, the biggest casualty of the last two days has been confidence that the present Thai government knows what it's doing in trying to end speculation in the Baht.

The Thai stock index fell again today, 15.5 points, or 2.23 per cent , because it's starting to become apparent to investors that these currency regulations, which were adopted without much consultation with the financial or business sector, may weaken not only the Baht but the whole Thai economy as well.

If, as some are already speculating, the bond and real estate markets may decline or even collapse, there won't be enough exports saved to have made defending the Baht worthwhile. The cure may be far worse than the disease.
