I'm new to these forums but I get a feeling that people don't like Gaybutton very much?
GB is like family. Don't you have people in your family you would like to strangle? (You can borrow some of mine, but you might want to keep a good trial lawyer on call.) Occasionally, he is a cross to bear, but he is our enema, or is that spelled enigma? But, when the chips are down and you have a problem that he can help with, I have never known him to turn anyone down. His heart is twice as big as his gut (a ratio which was once described as three times the size but has decreased, not because of any decrease in the size of his heart.).
As for his age, he looks not a day over 49. Twenty years, maybe, but not a day.

A big" phak talat" for sure.
I am sure that when Bob is done nobody else would like to clean the ToeJhen from Mister G.B.

I have never known him to turn anyone down.
That is only because some of the morons plaguing this board have never tried. I see the usual suspects are still obsessed. Gooooood. Gives me my morning laugh. It's perfectly obvious to me that there are a number of fools here that Will Rogers never met.

That's actually not true - at least with respect to reasonable people who know him. However, there are a few total morons that seem to have made Bahtstop their playground and they seem to be able to play here with impunity. Just take a look at a few of the posts in this thread and you'll easily spot the fools.

If you give you must also be able to take.
Same same for you.
Do you understand ?

I've heard it pronounced more as "BAK TALAT" and it literally means "market talk," which translates to calling someone a "BIG MOUTH."

Why do you care whether I'm a nice man or not? I don't know you and you don't know me and I plan on keeping it that way. And you can guess for yourself how much I care whether posters on this board think I'm nice.
As for whether in 'real life' I'm a nice man, you had it right the first time. I'm just terrible. I hate everyone I meet and everyone I meet hates me. I have no friends. I can't even get an imaginary friend to like me. I'm a lone, vicious, ill tempered, uncaring, unfeeling, lying son-of-a bitch who loves controlling others, makes up moronic bullshit to try to aggrandize himself, cares about no one and nothing but himself and would never lift a finger to help anybody else . . . just like several who post on this board, some under multiple names.
Still think in 'real life' I might be a nice guy?

I rather hope I never meet such a piece of shit as been described by G.B about himself.
Poor man he needs to find a doctor if he is in such a bad condition.
Some friends told me that he was quite helpful to help first time visitors to find a Thai- boy-friend.( for a small fee)
Some friends told me that he would be willing to show first-time visitors the prostitute park in Bangkok.
A park where you can find boys for only 500 baht for a short-time.
So he can't be as bad a he described himself
anyway ,
Happy birthday(S) old G.B. ( 75 years ?)

Many happy returns ( also to this forum)
I thought that G.B. was not allowed to post over here at the Baht-Stop.
I am happy they allow him back.
I always liked the man's contributions.
So also from me happy Birthday and happy return to the Baht-Stop

I thought that G.B. was not allowed to post over here at the Baht-Stop.
Thought wrong, didn't you? You actually believed the idiots who said I was banned here? You believe anything some of these nitwits post? Newsflash: I have never been banned here, despite what posters with absolutely no knowledge and no control of any kind over anything on this board might have thought. Despite that some posters here seem to believe they have a little fiefdom going or they believe they somehow have been granted some sort of dominion here, they have no more authority or control over this board than you or I do. Some actually believe they have the right to 'welcome' me or tell me to get lost, just as if this board was theirs or they hold some sort of claim over it. They have nothing. Only the moderators have that authority.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'll post here any time I please unless the moderators ask me not to post or decide to ban me. Neither has ever happened. I've also said if the moderators ever ask me not to post here again, then I won't post here again. Until that happens, whenever I feel like posting here that's precisely what I'll do, no matter who doesn't like it. I'll also refrain from posting here for whatever length of time I please.
Now I'll just sit back and enjoy the flame posts that are sure to follow this one.

No truer words have been spoken on this forum (especially the controlling and self-aggrandisement bit). Thank you for your honesty, GB, and welcome back to Baht Stop!

I don't think it's accurate or fair to say a big group of posters here don't like Gaybutton when many like me have probably never even met the guy. It's important to distinguish between someone's posting persona and the real person we may have never met.
Agreed but some of us do know him in person, at least I did when I lived in Pattaya. He was one of those guys who would just rub you the wrong way. Carrying on a conversation with him was difficult to say the least because he had to be right all the time. Conversations to him were mini battles and not a way of shooting the breeze and sharing ideas and good times among friends. Some Thai friends said he was "kee neow" but I don't know about his spending habits to confirm or deny this.

Seriously, there are comments in this thread which appear to tweak this board's rules prohibiting posts which are "invasive of any person's privacy who is not already in the public domain." It's one thing to criticize a well known poster like GB, based on his posting record; it quite another matter to start blabbing about supposed character traits based on personal contacts which are not part of any public record.
Anyone who knows anything about my posting record knows that I believe in free speech to the maximum extent possible, so I am not suggesting that anything should get edited or deleted here by the MODS. On the other hand, I believe that the private lives of posters, including their interaction with other posters in the real world, should not be the subject of discussion on an internet posting board. We are all better off if we criticize posters based on the content of their posts, not by what we perceive to be evidence of their character based on personal contacts "off the record." It's just not fair to make those kinds of charges anonymously.
