"Social critic Prawase Wasi said yesterday that his Reform Assembly would come up with measures to bridge the country's inequality gap by six months. At a meeting yesterday, the government-sponsored assembly agreed to map out reform plans for nine sectors, including justice, education, fair income distribution, quality of life for farmers, social morals, resource management, people's participation and balanced power structure.

The reform plan aims to build fair business, strengthen community, build up communities, ease bureaucracy as well as reform university education and media to name a few, Prawase said. The assembly's main job is to encourage and support people help restructure all sectors, such as economic, financial and justice, in the country, he said.

The assembly discussed methods of bridging social inequality by using tax measures and land reform to prevent domination by a central authority, he said. Reform in bureaucracy and education would also solve social crises, he said. Universities should lend a hand in the process, as well as help restructure the justice system, Prawase added.

"We will work with local administrative bodies for two week to brainstorm for ideas from local leaders for the reform across the country," he said. "Within six months, we will have clear measures to help solve the country's problems," he said. "I will inject a strong dose to cure the patient," Prawase, who is also a physician, said. The assembly will be using social networks, such as Facebook, to support the mission, he said."

This is getting about as close to snake oil medicine as one can get. It's Doctor Prawese's "Land of Smiles" Elixir, in which the traveling medicine man turns into the Great OZ, with gifts of brains for bureaucrats, hearts for generals, and courage for politicians. I wonder if he also plans to raise from the dead from the May 19 massacres sometime during the next six months.

Anyone know where to buy a pair of ruby slippers ? They'll work much better than this committee to go anywhere.
