The headline says Channel 11 to be "Forum for All." Read on.
"The Public Relations Department has been instructed to make Channel 11 an open forum for all to express their opinions, Prime Minister's Office Minister Ong-art Klampaiboon said on Thursday. Mr Ong-art, who oversees the PRD, said preparations have been made to carry this work out in three forms:
1. To provide a time slot for both the government and opposition whips to voice their opinions once a week;
2. To open forums for politicians in both the government and opposition blocs, academics, and members of non-government organisations to voice their economic, social and political views; and
3. To organise programmes in which people of all walks of life can join in and express their opinions.
He said there will not be a special programme arranged for the opposition because no one has been officially named opposition leader in the House of Representatives. . . Mr Ong-art declined to comment when asked whether the red-shirts would be invited, saying only that the relevant authorities would decide this.
So much for free access to TV.
