30 Asian civil rights organizations, groups and networks, stretching from Korea to Indonesia, have released a statement which can be viewed at the Prachatai link below, objecting to "the deterioration of human rights and universally recognized freedoms in Thailand" under the present government.
The statement points out that the State of Emergency in its present form, as used in the Thai south for the past five years, and as now employed in most of the populated areas nationally, violates provisions of the UN Human Rights charter to which Thailand is a signatory.
